mid september

It is actually starting to feel like fall here in the city – besides a few pleasantly warm afternoons. I finally bought some tea from Mariage Frères - I picked up Thé à l’Opéra and Marco Polo. Next time I think I’ll get Rouge Sahara. Apple season is also upon us and I discovered these beauties at my local market, they are called Pink Pearls. The color was such a surprise I decided to make a little tart. Once baked I love that the apple slices look like flower petals.

happy friday!

it’s finally feeling like autumn in san francisco. there are leaves on the ground and there has been a pleasantly cool breeze this week. i had a long but fun photoshoot today (post will be up soon) and i also made oatmeal raisin cookies. have a great weekend everyone! click photo for source.

books and iced tea

i finally got around to buying some books that i’d been meaning to get: the tartine bakery in san francisco is one of my favorite cafes, and their cookbook is amazing, and the photos are beautiful! i also had to get pia jane bijkerk‘s new book, made in paris. and to top it off, while reading i also enjoyed my favorite summer drink: hibiscus mint iced tea!
