mid september

It is actually starting to feel like fall here in the city – besides a few pleasantly warm afternoons. I finally bought some tea from Mariage Frères - I picked up Thé à l’Opéra and Marco Polo. Next time I think I’ll get Rouge Sahara. Apple season is also upon us and I discovered these beauties at my local market, they are called Pink Pearls. The color was such a surprise I decided to make a little tart. Once baked I love that the apple slices look like flower petals.

E.H.

The talented and lovely Emma visited me earlier this week from London by way of Sweden. For a few days, we explored the city and became fast friends. I can not wait to plan a trip and visit her in London so she can show me around to her favorite spots in her city.
